10k: Escape 2011by ~Vince-T

Digital Art / Mixed Media / Sci-Fi

This is a 2011 revision of one of my very first ever digital artworks, simply named "Escape". It preludes the story told in the "For Bricera" series [link]

What's it with the fancy lighting? The picture's named "Escape" for a reason. During the initial Dhilani attack on Bricera one of the planet's massive Diamond-class Guard Stations was severely damaged and had to be abandoned, not before triggering the self-destruct sequence, resulting in a cataclysmic explosion of the ~10 km wide station. Meanwhile The fleeing Frigates are transporting the personnel planetside, escorted by a number of fighter squadrons.
