Calim VI: Impact

Description

Here we go with Part 4 of the Calim VI series.

----------------

Fast yet too slow for the shields to be recognized as a projectile the ship passed through and slammed into the starboard part of the bridge module. The impact velocity was enough to burst the fuel tanks and reactor and the detonation set off the loaded explosives creating a secondary series of explosions that frazzled the starboard side of the bridge module. More exposions began crawling along the module before the sections could be sealed.

It was obvious that the improvised bomb wouldn't destroy the ship yet the damage dealt to the bridge module would suffice to disrupt parts of its systems and provided an opening for the Seraphim's turrets to bore into.

Then the two ships were past each other and it would take the Star destroyer a wuile to make the full turn - especially as now the group of Venators were coming the same way and had to re-plot their course to avoid colission with their flagship.

To be continued......
